Buying A Husband

Posted by cherryl0526 in Uncategorized

 The Husband Store

A store that sells husbands has just opened in New York City, where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates.

"You may visit the store ONLY ONCE…You may choose any man from a particular floor, or you may choose to go up a floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the Building!"

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband .

On the first floor the sign on the door reads:

Floor 1 - These men have jobs and love the Lord.

The second floor sign reads:

Floor 2 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, and love kids.

The third floor sign reads:

Floor 3 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, and are
    extremely good looking.

"Wow," she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.

She goes to the fourth floor and sign reads:

Floor 4 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are drop-dead
good looking and help with the housework.

"Oh, mercy me!" she exclaims, "I can hardly stand it!"

Still, she goes to the fifth floor and sign reads:

Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are drop-dead
gorgeous, help with the  housework, and have a strong romantic streak.

She is so tempted to stay,

but she goes to the sixth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 6 - You are visitor 4,363,012 to this floor.

There are no men on this floor.
This floor exists solely as proof that women love window shopping.

Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store.
Watch your step as you exit the building, and have a nice day !

Foolish Heart

Posted by cherryl0526 in Uncategorized

I need a love that grows
I don’t want it unless I know
But with each passin hour
Someone, somehow
Will be there, ready to share

I need a love that’s strong
I’m so tired of being alone
But will my lonely heart
Play the part
Of the fool again, before I begin

Foolish heart, hear me calling
Stop before you start falling
Foolish heart, heed my warning
You’ve been wrong before
Don’t be wrong anymore

I’m feelin that feelin again
I’ve been playin a game I can’t win
Love’s knockin on the door
Of my heart once more
Think I’ll let him in
Before I begin

Foolish heart, hear me calling
Stop before, you start falling
Foolish heart, heed my warning
You’ve been wrong before
Don’t be wrong anymore
Foolish heart
Foolish, foolish heart
You’ve been wrong before

Foolish heart, hear me calling
Stop before you start falling
Foolish heart, heed my warning
You’ve been wrong before
Don’t be wrong anymore
Foolish heart

Oh foolish
foolish heart
You’ve been wrong before

Foolish
foolish heart
Foolish heart

Can you Sleep when the Wind Blows?

Posted by cherryl0526 in Uncategorized

Showletter

Years ago, a farmer owned land along the Atlantic seacoast.
He constantly advertised for hired hands. Most people were
reluctant to work on farms along the Atlantic. They dreaded the
awful storms that raged across the Atlantic, wreaking havoc on the buildings and crops.

As the farmer interviewed applicants for the job, he received
A steady stream of refusals.

Finally, a short, thin man, well past middle age, approached
the farmer. “Are you a good farm hand?” the farmer asked him.

“Well, I can sleep when the wind blows,” answered the little man.

Although puzzled by this answer, the farmer, desperate for help,
Hired him. The little man worked well around the farm, busy from
dawn to dusk, and the farmer felt satisfied with the man’s work.

Then one night the wind howled loudly in from offshore.
Jumping out of bed, the farmer grabbed a lantern and rushed
next door to the hired hand’s sleeping quarters. He shook the
little man and yelled, “Get up! A storm is coming!
Tie things down before they blow away!”

The little man rolled over in bed and said firmly, “No
sir. I told you, I can sleep when the wind blows.”

Enraged by the response, the farmer was tempted to fire him on
the spot. Instead, he hurried outside to prepare for the storm.

To his amazement, he discovered that all of the haystacks had
been covered with tarpaulins. The cows were in the barn, the chickens were in the coops, and the doors were barred.
The shutters were tightly secured. Everything was tied down.

Nothing could blow away. The farmer then understood what his
hired hand meant, so he returned to his bed to also sleep while
the wind blew.

When you’re prepared, spiritually, mentally, and physically,
you have nothing to fear. Can you sleep when the
wind blows through your life?

The hired hand in the story was able to sleep because he
had secured the farm against the storm.

We secure ourselves against the storms of life by
grounding ourselves in the Word of God.
We don’t need to understand, we just need to hold
His hand to have peace in the middle of storms.

A friend of mine sent this to me today,
and I enjoyed it so much, that I wanted to send it to you.

I hope you enjoy your day and you sleep well.
